Story Time

In person story time will be back in the fall. For those who are too excited to be back to wait (like us!), you can check out our online story time videos!

Farmers Market

Our weekly farmers market is open for summer! Stop by every Thursday from 4-7pm from now until through the end of August. Come support local vendors selling fresh veggies and beautiful homemade goods just out front of our library.

Summer reading

Our youth summer reading program is still going! Each time your little reader visits the library this summer, they may fill out 1 ticket from the front of Mrs. Prime's desk, and place it in the basket of the prize they would like, located on the wall with the clock. There are 6 total prizes, winners will be chosen at the end of summer.

August 9th is National Book Lover's Day! Stop by and grab a new read or a tried and true favorite to celebrate!

Music on the common

Music on the common returns in full swing with 3 scheduled performances through the rest of the summer;

Classic rock band Crossroads is scheduled August 6th, the Bridgewater Antiphonal Brass Society on August 20th includes an armed forces salute from the 21 piece band, and the season wraps up on September 17th, with Strictly Overtime. Each concert will begin at 2pm, with free admission. 

Go Fly A Kite Festival

The Go Fly A Kite Festival will be in town on August 6th, 12p-4p, located at Brooks Field. The festival will be complete with live music by the Brooks Brothers, delicious local made food, and fun filled activities for the whole family!

Historical Society Tea Party

Join the Narragansett Historical Society on August 12th at 2pm for a scenic afternoon in the back garden, with delicious tea and dainty sandwiches or pastries. 

National Play Outside Day

This weekend on August 5th, the town of Templeton is hosting tons of activities for National Play Outside Day! Beginning at 9am at Gilman Waite Recreational Field, you can expect a full day of fun for you and your family, followed by an outdoor movie night!

The Cultural Council is always welcoming new members! To apply, visit the town website. The period for TCC grant applications will be open September 1-Oct 15
