Main Desk Updates |
It's finally summertime! At the Main Desk, June means pops, pride, puzzles, and three chances to win darn good prizes. RAFFLES
We have three free raffles happening this month. In honor of the Summer Reading Program theme, "Plant a Seed, Read," we're raffling off a LEGO Orchid Puzzle and a Gardener's bucket with pruners and a garden journal. Those raffles will start Monday, June 15th and be drawn at the end of the reading program. We're also gifting another beautiful quilt made by one of the talented members of our local craft group. This patriotic-themed quilt will be raffled throughout the month with the winner drawn on June 26th — just in time for any 250th anniversary celebrations on July 4th! DISPLAYS
Calling all Marilyn Monroe fans! The iconic blonde would've turned 100 on June 1st and we're honoring her with a display featuring Marilyn books and DVDs — plus fun buttons and bookmarks you can keep. Don't forget, we have plenty more Marilyn titles to check out via our digital services, Libby and Hoopla. And don't worry, dads, we haven't forgotten your big day — we'll have DVDS for you, along with several movies to watch this month with Pride.
NEW FICTION
Several major new fiction titles are coming out in June, so put yourself on hold now for these future blockbusters: Whistler by Ann Patchett, Land by Maggie O'Farrell, Storm Tide by Paul Doiron, It Could Have Been Her by Lisa Jewell, Road Trip by Mary Kay Andrews, Weddings by Danielle Steel, The Architect by Joanne DeMaio,
and many more. NEW DVDS
On the DVD front, we're getting Scream 7 in June, along with Dark Winds Season 4, You Season 5, and the first season of the Game of Thrones prequel series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Plus, we're always ordering new DVDs so check the online catalog to see what titles are Coming Soon and put yourself on hold first! |
