April is Financial Literacy Month If you missed it, we have some exciting news! The City of Wolfforth Library was selected as one of just 300 libraries nationwide to receive the American Library Association’s Thinking Money for Kids Program Kits. These kits will help us bring financial literacy to children through fun, interactive programs and Playaway Launchpad tablets. But we don’t want to stop at just teaching kids—we want to help everyone build financial confidence! That’s why we’re offering two special financial literacy programs in Aprili: Teens (Grades 6-12) – April 12th at 1 PM Join us as our staff covers budgeting basics in a way that makes sense for teens. Plus, we’ll wrap up with a fun DIY stress relief bottle activity! Adults – April 17th at 6 PM We’re excited to welcome Kelli Lytle from Lytle Financial Coaching for a practical, real-world talk about budgeting. Kelli has spent six years helping families create realistic budgets and reach their financial goals. She’ll share simple, actionable money tips that can help bring more peace and less chaos to your finances. No matter where you are on your financial journey, these programs are a great way to build skills and confidence. We hope to see you there!

Summer 2025 Summer will be here before we know it, and we’re gearing up for an exciting season! This year’s theme, "Color Our World," is all about celebrating the impact of art in our lives. We’re shaking things up for our Summer Kickoff this year! Join us at Patterson Park on May 30th at 6 PM for an evening of fun. We’ll have food trucks, Bigfoot Foam, and creative art stations for all ages. Plus, library staff will be there to help you get registered for summer reading! Since last year’s heat was a little too intense, we won’t be hosting an End of Summer party in August—so we hope to see you at the kickoff to start summer off right! And don’t miss your chance to grab a 2025 Summer Reading shirt! We teamed up with the amazing, California T’s to design two awesome options. You can order online and have them shipped for a small fee, or pick them up for free at the library once they’re ready. A portion of every sale supports our library expansion and renovation project! Mark your calendars, and let’s make this summer one to remember!

Last twilight in Paris
by Pam Jenoff
London, 1953. Louise is still adjusting to her postwar role as a housewife when she discovers a necklace in a box at a secondhand shop. The box is marked with the name of a department store in Paris, and she is certain she has seen the necklace before, when she worked with the Red Cross in Nazi-occupied Europe--and that it holds the key to the mysterious death of her friend Franny during the war. Following the trail of clues to Paris, Louise seeks help from her former boss Ian, with whom she shares a romantic history. The necklace leads them to discover the dark history of Lévitan--a once-glamorous department store that served as a Nazi prison, and Helaine, a woman who was imprisoned there, torn apart from her husband when the Germans invaded France. Louise races to find the connection between the necklace, the department store and Franny's death. But nothing is as it seems, and there are forces determined to keep the truth buried forever. Inspired by the true story of Lévitan, Last Twilight in Paris is both a gripping mystery and an unforgettable story about sacrifice, resistance and the power of love to transcend in even the darkest hours
