Join Remedy Hall and the Milne Public Library for our annual Spring Chicken Trot - an egg hunt across the library grounds tomorrow, Saturday, April 4th at 11:00 a.m.!
Search high and low for colorful eggs filled with sweet treats and surprises. And the fun doesn’t stop there.
We’re excited to share that there will be a special storytime, followed by a hands-on craft for kids and families to enjoy together.

The Board of Trustees will be discussing the approved "No Mow" area on the west side of the building adjoining Cold Spring Road/Route 7 at their monthly meeting on April 8th 5:30 pm. Public comment is always welcome at these meetings.
There will be no Goodwill donation truck Sunday, April 5th. The truck will be back Sunday, April 12th.
We will be closed Friday, April 10th for an in-staff training day. We will reopen Saturday, April 11th at 10:00 a.m. |

| We're hiring a part-time Coordinator for our future MakerSpace, Studio1095!
The David & Joyce Milne Public Library is seeking a dynamic, creative, and community-focused individual to lead Studio1095, our vibrant MakerSpace dedicated to artistic exploration and hands-on learning.
Studio1095 is an exciting new and growing initiative, and this position offers a unique opportunity to shape its direction from the ground up. The Coordinator will play a key role in developing the space, selecting and learning equipment, and creating programs that reflect the interests and needs of our community. Planned areas of focus include fiber and textile arts, visual arts, creative technologies, audio-recording, and more. |

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about making, eager to experiment and learn, isn't afraid to try new things, and excited to bring others along in the creative process.
In this role, you will: - Help design, develop, and grow Studio1095 as an inclusive and welcoming creative space
- Create and lead engaging, accessible programming across arts and creative technologies
- Learn, maintain, and support a variety of tools and equipment
- Foster a collaborative environment for makers of all skill levels
- Build partnerships with local artists, organizations, and community members
- Promote the space and celebrate the creativity of the community
The ideal candidate is an artist, maker, or creative thinker who enjoys working with people, values collaboration, and is excited by the opportunity to build something new. Interested?

Join the Spice Club 🔥 |
We've launched a monthly spice club! This passive program allows patrons to try a new spice every month. Venture to a new country to learn the spice's origins, process, tasting notes, and what it pairs well with.
In addition to learning about the spice, you'll have the opportunity to try it using a recipe and helpful cooking tips. We also want you to share your creation and thoughts about the monthly spice and recipe. Read the blog post to learn more! |

| The Milne Public Library is celebrating National Poetry Month with our yearly Poetry Month Challenge. This year's challenge is to create an ACROSTIC POEM.
An acrostic poem is a poem in which certain letters of each line combine to spell out a word when read vertically.

"Stop the Thud" with the Zilkha Center 🐦 |
Join Mike Evans, Deputy Director for Campus Sustainability at the Zilkha Center for the Environment, Thursday, April 9th at 6:00 p.m. to talk about the process, what he and the team have learned to-date, and about volunteer opportunities for the "Stop the Thud" bird collision monitoring project.
"Stop the Thud" is a bird collision monitoring project launched this past fall to collect data about bird collisions into Williams College buildings in order to identify challenging areas in need of bird-friendly interventions.
This event is one of numerous Flight Path programs, an initiative the library is participating in through the Spring. |

Learn How to Soil Block for Spring
| Thinking about starting seeds indoors? Join us Saturday, April 11th at 11:00 a.m. to learn about the benefits of using soil blocks instead of plastic trays. In this workshop, you will make a variety of soil blocks to take home.
All materials will be provided, and no previous experience is necessary. Space is limited, so please sign up below!
