Hello, and Happy Friday

We are launching new community centered conversations this next week like an English Conversation Group and ¡Hablemos español! for our patrons to practice their English and Spanish speaking skills.

Join Val, our Community Resources Intern for Community Convos! These conversations will discuss social justice and how the library can connect the community to local resources.

Prizes for Our Blind Date with a Book!

Throughout the month of February, you can check out a disguised library book using its "pickup line" only!  Take a look at the wrapped titles, select a book, and check it out.  After reading it, share your "true feelings" about your "date" by March 1st for a chance to win a prize. Who knows, perhaps you'll find true (literary) love!

Get Your Sip On! Enjoy a Tea Flight at the Library

This drop-in event is a perfect way to escape the winter chill!  Join us for a sampling of teas brewed on site, both with and without caffeine, by Heart's Pace: Tea and Healing Arts Lounge.

Be there at 1:00 p.m. if you'd like to hear Beau Barela describe his background and the tea blends on offer.

Sustainable Options Now Available

You all were right, we did receive a LOT of mugs. With help from you, our coffee station is more sustainable than it once was!

You can now enjoy a cup of coffee from a reusable mug and we will have a clean and dirty bin on the cart. Avoid k-cup waste by opting into instant coffee and/or use the attached carafe brewed by staff!

All-Level Yoga is Here!

We're offering a new yoga class, with the wonderful Devin Raber, the former owner of North Adams Yoga!

Classes will be held every Saturday, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., starting March 1st through April 5th. Registration is required, so sign up today!

Celebrate Library Lovers' Month!

"Empowered by Libraries" is a campaign of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners that encourages library patrons to share their experiences with their local libraries. The commissioners are collecting these stories to support libraries by using these in advocacy efforts at the state legislature.

What's your favorite thing about the library? How has it helped you? What have you gained? Share the value of the David and Joyce Milne Public Library by writing down your story using the cards located at the circulation and reference areas or using the link below!
