Join Our “Coral Crochet Circle”

Starting June 6 at 2:00 p.m., in partnership with Williams College's Berkshires Satellite Reef project, we will be hosting weekly "Coral Crochet Circles" for our patrons to contribute to the reef!

The Berkshires Satellite Reef — part of the worldwide Crochet Coral Reef by artists Christine and Margaret Wertheim and the Institute for Figuring — is a communal art project entailing the crowd-sourced creation of a life-size coral reef made entirely out of crochet.

No prior skills in crochet necessary – beginners welcome!

It will be exhibited at Williams College in the ’62 Center for Theatre & Dance as an immersive installation in the spring of 2026. All ages and members of all Berkshires communities (and beyond) are welcome to participate by making a coral crochet piece!

Additionally, we have a basket by the seed library where you can donate yarn that will be used for the satellite reef.
