National Poetry Month

We have exciting news to share! The David & Joyce Milne Public Library is proud to be chosen to be part of Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities, an American Library Association initiative that provides community engagement and accessibility resources to small and rural libraries to help them better serve people with disabilities.

With this $10,000 grant, we are planning to make our building and programming more accessible to the public. We plan to have community conversations in the summer to discuss this initiative. More information to come!

Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities is an initiative of the American Library Association (ALA) in collaboration with the Association for Rural & Small Libraries (ARSL).

Become an Art Detective

Join us April 25th at 2:00 p.m. for an exciting art workshop!

In this workshop, children will be focusing on colorful abstract art, and a few of the works of famous local artist Suzy Frelinghuysen like collage paintings and paintings of geometric shapes and spaces.

Children will become "Art Detectives" as they search for particular shapes, colors, and writing. They will next create their own collage with shapes, enhanced with colored pencils and markers.
