Milne Mail: David & Joyce Milne Public Library, Weekly Newsletter
Friday, January 9, 2026

Hello, and Happy Friday!

Last month we hosted a Crafternoon for kids which allowed them to personalize their own 2026 calendars. If you were unable to attend the event, we still have leftover, blank calendars available in the Children's Room while supplies last. Grab yours today!

This month, we're welcoming back Mary Edgerton for Gentle Yoga at the library. Join Mary, Thursday, January 15th at 10:30 a.m. for her first session back.

We have a lot of exciting events ready for you to enjoy this year. To stay up to date, be sure to review our newsletters, social media, website, and more!

Serving Seniors at the Library

After retirement, many seniors enjoy hobbies, travel, time with family and volunteering. But as the later stage of life can also present challenges, there are quite a few agencies and experts who offer help to this demographic.

Several of them are coming to the Milne over the next few months, and some are already-established groups who will continue to meet.

Learn more about the upcoming library events for seniors by reading our blog post!

January Artist on Display

Be sure to stop by the library during the month of January and view the art exhibition,
"The Nature of Spirit," by local artist Holly Edwards.

A faculty member in the Art History
Department at Williams College, her teaching at Williams focuses on the history of Islamic art and visual culture.

The images on view in the Milne
Library exhibit are abstract rather than realistic and reflect the artist’s cumulative
contemplation of land, sea, and sky. The pictures are quite varied in palette and
composition and describe a spiritual growth, one the artist hopes will resonate with the
viewer.
