Hello, and Happy Friday! |
We hope that you all enjoyed observing the eclipse earlier this week! We were excited by the sheer number of people who came by the library to collect eclipse glasses, and were awed and humbled by the astronomical event itself.
If you happen to still have your eclipse glasses, please note that we are collecting them at the library to donate to Astronomers Without Borders, a group that collects them for re-use around the world.

Open Mic Poetry Night Recap |
We are happy to report that Wednesday night's second annual poetry night was a success! Local poet Chris Hantman was again our enthusiastic emcee, six people read their original work, and several others recited the work of other poets. Plus, we are thankful that an audience of 18 people came to hear and support the readers.
Click the link below to read some of the poetry shared with us! | |

Changes to Our Calendar |
We have made some slight changes to our website's event calendar, making finding the events that interest you easier than ever!
There are two new filters that you can use to sort through events: Community Events, and Library Meetings. |
Community events include book group and knitting group meetings and other community-organized events that are open to the public. While library meetings include Board of Trustees meetings, Friends of the Library Board meetings, and any other library committee meetings - we welcome your participation!
