Happy Black History and Library Lovers' Month!

It's another exciting month at the Milne! Fall in love all February with programming like Mahjong at the Milne, 1:1 Tech Time, or Open Gaming and VR!

We are launching new community centered conversations this month like an English Conversation Group and ¡Hablemos español! for folx to practice their English and Spanish speaking skills.

Additionally, join Val, our Community Resources Intern for Community Convos! These conversations will discuss social justice and how the library can connect the community to local resources.

Lastly, expand your horizons, learn more about this country's history, and celebrate Black History by perusing our displays, reading Black authors, and watching "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks!"

Do Our Books Need Mending?

Books aren't alive, but they do have a lifespan.

For some, it's more than 50 years; others last much less. Picture books, being read over and over and over again, can need repair just from normal use.

Sometimes it involves a few minutes and a piece of special tape.

Sometimes it involves an overnight stay in the book hospital to let glue dry. But we can't fix them if we don't know they need fixing!

So please don't be afraid to let us know if you see a book that needs our help. I promise we won't be mad -- in fact, we'll probably thank you!

Open Gaming & VR is Back at the Milne!

One Up Games brings the games to you! Join us Saturday, February 22nd for open gaming. Systems include PS4, XBox-S, Switch, and Oculus Quest 2.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Space is limited - sign up for one of the 90-minute gaming sessions (A or B).

Session A: 12 - 1:30 p.m.
Session B: 1:30 - 3 p.m.

Celebrate Library Lovers' Month!
