 Hello, and Happy Friday!

As we welcome the new month, we want to thank those who celebrated National Poetry Month with us by writing repetition poems! We have gotten an influx of amazing poems and have displayed them in our Community Room. Be sure to stop in and explore the gallery of poems. 


For those who would like their poems to be displayed, poems should be submitted by Wednesday, May 7th to be entered in our prize drawing happening Friday, May 9th!

Please Note: We will be closed Friday, May 16th for an in-service staff training day. All online resources will still be available. We will re-open Saturday, May 17th 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Stork Storytime at the Milne!

Join the Milne Public Library on Saturday, May 10th for a story time with Carol Joy Munro, who will read from her debut picture book, Springtime Storks.


Based on a true story, Springtime Storks is an ode to the resilience, dedication, and love between two migratory birds, while also delivering an urgent message of conservation.


Following the story time, kids will make their own stork hand puppets and learn more about storks and their migration patterns.

This Mass Kids Lit Fest event is presented in partnership with the Massachusetts Center for the Book.

Join Williamstown Citizens' Academy next Wednesday, May 7th at 6:30 p.m. to learn more about "Who Does What:" A Closer Look into Town Hall with Bob Menicocci, Town Manager.


The following week, May 13th at 6:30 p.m., Elisabeth Goodman will be discussing "The Whys and Hows" of our annual town meeting.

Get Your Writing On at the Library!

Starting May 6th, we will be hosting a new monthly writing group lead by college writing instructor, Deirdre Sullivan.


Here, participants can discuss their writing goals, share their work, and invite commentary from fellow writers.


All levels of experience and exploration in the art of writing are welcome! This group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

Looking to Reduce or Address Stress?

Starting May 6th, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., join Will Raymond for some relaxation!


This series of four classes will feature 20 minutes of silent mindfulness practice, followed by an informal discussion about practical steps to lower your stress level in body, heart, and mind. 


This is based on the research and programs developed by the UMASS Medical School Center for Mindfulness.
