Our New Digital Archives Are Here!
We are delighted to announce the launch of our new Digital Archives, now available on our website at bristol-library.org/digital-archives. Information comes from the Bristol Public Library’s local history files compiled by various researchers.
Spanning from pre-1900 to 1949. This section features information from company records, newspaper articles, and a variety of additional sources. Cemetery censuses may or may not be complete and may or may not be included in other publications. These files range from simple one-page family trees to more extensive family histories. All information in one file may not refer to the same branch of a family, but it may provide clues to researchers of a particular surname. Most consist of photocopies of genealogy-related pages from Bible pages for local or regional families. Residential and business building information comes from a variety of sources, many of which were written by V.N. “Bud” Phillips. |
