Recycling Challenge Update
|
|
|
| We did it! With your help, we collected over 1,000 pounds of recyclable plastic in only three months (1014 pounds so far, to be exact)! We are blown away by this incredible community effort. We are already dreaming about where to place our beautiful new bench this spring!
So now what? We keep going! A new bench is a bonus, but the real winner is the environment. We're going to keep collecting as much plastic as we can to be recycled and kept out of landfills. So keep saving your plastic and bring it to our donation box!
Please click this link for more information about which plastics can and cannot be recycled! |

GivingTuesday is a global movement to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life. This day reminds us that we can make a difference in our community by contributing time, resources, and honoring our shared humanity.
These are values we believe in deeply at Dyer Library/Saco Museum and we encourage everyone to participate by donating to a cause that is meaningful to them. If you would like to make a donation to support the work of the Dyer Library/Saco Museum, please visit the link below. Thank you! |

The Book of Love
| Kelly Link |
In the acclaimed first novel from short story virtuoso and Pulitzer Prize finalist Kelly Link, three teenagers become pawns in a supernatural power struggle. The Book of Love showcases Kelly Link at the height of her powers, channeling potent magic and attuned to all varieties of love—from friendship to romance to abiding family ties—with her trademark compassion, wit, and literary derring-do. Readers will find joy (and a little terror) and an affirmation that love goes on, even when we cannot. |

By the Fire We Carry |

A powerful work of reportage and American history that braids the story of the forced removal of Native Americans onto treaty lands in the nation’s earliest days, and a small-town murder in the 1990s that led to a Supreme Court ruling reaffirming Native rights to that land more than a century later.
