Drawing Comics: Child & Parent Art Challenge Date: Thursday, March 20, 2025 Time: 4:45 PM - 5:45 PM Families, do you enjoy drawing? How about comic strips? Join Ronin and Lana, a child and parent duo, for an ongoing comic strip drawing club for youth and their caregivers on the third Thursday of each month. This monthly hour-long program allows children and their caregivers an opportunity to spend time practicing their art together with plenty of supplies, space, and also the support of others. Learn about the history of Comic Strips, how to create stories with humor and suspense, and how to publish your art. Get to know people in your community and share your creative side too. Designed for adults and children ages 8-13. Drop in anytime or come every third Thursday of the Month. Registration is encouraged.

The storytime room will be changed into a playgroup space featuring multiple play and learn stations for children to circulate through. The stations will include dramatic play, large and small motor play, sand table, and a rotating monthly themed station. Families are welcome to come and go throughout the morning.

Date: Thursday, March 6, 2025 Time: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Location: Makerspace Interested in 3D printing or design? Come check out our Makerspace's 3D printer! We will be using the free and easy-to-use TinkerCAD to create your custom keychains. Our staff will guide you through the process of using TinkerCAD, where you will learn how to add text, shapes, and other details to the design before it is printed out. Once your design is complete, you have the opportunity to watch as the 3D printer begins to create your truly unique and personalized keychain! If you did not finish your design by the end of the program, you can email the design to staff and they will print it out for you with no charge. If your print has not finished by the time the program or library day has ended, staff will finish the print with no charge the following day and notify you via email or phone that your keychain is ready! Making at Bacon: Sandwich BreadDate: Tuesday, March 11, 2025 Time: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM Explore bread making and learn some basic techniques to start your baking journey! Participants will learn about yeast, kneading, and what goes into a loaf of bread. This program involves flour, so participants should dress accordingly. After the program, participants will take home their dough for baking or refrigeration! This program will take place in the Bacon House's Kitchen.
