Red White and Blue 250
JULY 2026 | LIBRARY NEWS
Director's Note-
Happy Birthday, America and to our beautiful Carnegie building! It's a big year to celebrate our community and country. Make plans to join us to celebrate our 125th anniversary on July 30th from 4-6pm. There will be refreshments, open house, and guest speakers starting at 4:30pm. Look for our Library History display in the Reference room this month.
July also marks the second half of the summer reading program and you all are rockin it! Keep you the momentum to finish strong. Qualifying readers can attend our Celebration at Liberty Park on July 26th.
We have so many fun events this month-mark your calendar, so you don't forget! I'm especially excited about the sound bath event with Serene Space Massage & Sound. If you've never attended a sound bath, you need to come! You basically get immersed in sound from a variety of vibration instruments. This promotes relaxation and quiets the mind-who doesn't need a little more of that?!  Come ready to check out of the real world for about an hour. Free and everyone welcome.

Happy Reading & Borrowing-

Sound Bath
Monday, July 20th
5:30pm-6:30pm
A sound bath is a deeply immersive, meditative experience where you "bathe" in the resonant vibrations of instruments like crystal singing bowls, gongs, and chimes. Participants typically lie on their backs while the practitioner plays the instruments to promote profound relaxation, ease muscle tension, and quiet the mind.
