Chain Reaction: A Reacher Novel
by Lee Child
The heart-pounding new Jack Reacher thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling authors Lee Child and Andrew Child. Jack Reacher is hard to find. It's not easy to track him down. And he likes it that way. But General Susan Turner, based deep inside the Pentagon, has the means and the motive. She needs his help. A member of her team has been brutally murdered on covert duty. She can't trust anyone she works with, not even her deputy. She needs someone from the outside. Someone who solves problems and disappears without a trace. Reacher heads to Summertown, Colorado. A town as remote and bizarre as it gets. One diner, one motel, five massive data centers, two giant solar farms humming away in the dust. Total population: four people. And one of them is watching him. But Reacher isn't built to run. He's built to finish things. General Turner knows that if they come for Reacher, they'll regret it--all the way to the top of the chain.

The Things You'll Never Know
by Ashley Audrain
Nobody delves as deep into the guts of motherhood as Ashley Audrain; she really is in a league of her own. --Lisa Jewell From the New York Times bestselling author of The Push, a bold, unputdownable story of motherhood, desire, betrayal, and loss told by a mother after her own death. All those moments in life that mark a before, and an after. Before the death of me, and after. Before they knew the truth of what happened, and after. Fiona stares up at the faces of her husband, Adam, and their children. They've found her on the hallway floor. The double doors slam on the ambulance, and Fiona watches it take her body away--but how can that be, if she's still here in her home, with her family? That's when she realizes her worst fear has come true: Fiona is dead. In the days that follow, Fiona moves quietly among them, as they become increasingly suspicious about her death. Everyone seems to be hiding something--her depressive husband, her devoted best friend, her estranged younger sister, her precocious six-year-old son, and most of all, Fiona herself. That is, until her teenage daughter discovers Fiona's diary--and the stunning betrayal she had been hiding. Exploring the performative identities of womanhood, the cost of being good, and what we owe ourselves and each other in the face of desire, Ashley Audrain's daring, thought-provoking novel asks: will you find who you really are, before you die?

Savage Lake
by Nick Medina
A mother and son travel to a dilapidated cabin in the woods that haunts more than just her memories in this new unnerving horror from the author of The Whistler and Sisters of the Lost Nation. Nell Marin swore she would never return to the place where part of her died. The passing of her estranged father, however, leaves her with no choice but to take her teenage son, Oscar, back to the run-down family cabin on Torchlight Lake, where horrific memories linger. The two will fix the place up, sell it, and ensure Nell never has to return to that dreaded lake again. But when the roads--which pass through Native land--are barricaded by the local Tribe, the quick trip turns into weeks. Oscar, a horror movie buff, knows this is exactly how it starts. As the long summer days drag on, unsettling things begin to occur: screams ring out over the water and a mysterious figure watches the cabin from the trees at night. Most disturbing of all, his mother is becoming less and less herself. As the strange events lead Oscar to uncover the secrets Nell has shielded him from, he is forced to confront a reality that is far more frightening than movie monsters. He must uncover answers to the questions that stole so much from his mother...before the horror that traumatized Nell drags him under as well.
