Build, create, and imagine with us!
Drop in for open Lego play and optional building challenges. Creations will be displayed between sessions. An all ages, family activity. Drop-in, no registration required.

Anything But a Pot Plant Adoption Saturday, May 2 11:00 AM – Noon Celebrate spring with plants. Paint a unique planter from our collection of thrifted and gifted mini vessels and pot a succulent to take home. Succulents are super low maintenance, happy plants and can survive almost any conditions (or amount of neglect.) No green thumb or prior plant care experience necessary. Grades 6 – 12.

Learn how a public library serves the community, practice leadership skills, and interact with young people in our community as part of the Summer Reading Program. With the ongoing insect apocalypse, our native songbirds are at risk. Learn how you can help them through plant selection, garden design, and maintenance protocols, making your garden a safe and welcoming oasis for all species.

Saturday, May 16 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Protect your identity and the environment. SSLDL will be hosting a community shredding event. We have partnered with American Data Security, Inc. to provide secure, environmentally friendly disposal of your private documents. Registration is not required. Limit of 4 boxes per vehicle. Please note, this event is scheduled from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, but the event will end early if the truck is full.
