Anything But a Pot
   Plant Adoption

Celebrate spring with plants. Paint a unique planter from our collection of thrifted and gifted mini vessels and pot a succulent to take home.
Succulents are super low maintenance, happy plants and can survive almost any conditions (or amount of neglect.)  No green thumb or prior plant care experience necessary. Grades 6 – 12.

Teen Advisory Board
 
Do you have an interest in volunteering? How about a fun suggestion for a program?  Are you a grade 8 – 12 student?  Then TAB is the place for you. The Salem-South Lyon District Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a student group dedicated to serving the library community and aiding in the improvement of teen library services.  In addition to monthly meetings, there will also be opportunities to volunteer in the library, at programs, and to contribute to the teen space.

Learn how you can help them through plant selection, garden design, and maintenance protocols, making your garden a safe and welcoming oasis for all species.

Document Shredding Event

Protect your identity and the environment. SSLDL will be hosting a community shredding event. We have partnered with American Data Security, Inc. to provide secure, environmentally friendly disposal of your private documents.
 
Registration is not required.
 
 Limit of 4 boxes per vehicle. 
Please note, this event is scheduled from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, but the event will end early if the truck is full.
