Thursday September 4th is our annual trustee election and budget vote. If you are unable to vote that day, please fill out an absentee ballot application. Please show your support for your public library by voting.

 

September is Library Card Sign Up Month which means we want everyone who does not have a card to get one, or if your card is expired, reach out so we can reactivate it. Whether you are looking for a great book, a new job, a good movie, or a pass to a local museum or nature preserve, this one card does it all, for free.

 

We are having a food fight, well sort of. We are competing with the other Ulster County public libraries to collect as many items as possible to donate to our local food pantry. September 2 through October 18 we will be counting each donated non-perishable food item (or personal hygiene item) that we will be passing on to the Rosendale Food Pantry. This is part of a statewide initiative called The Great Giveback which encourages libraries to partner with other local entities to help our communities thrive.

 

Voter Registration Day is September 16. If you or someone you know has recently moved to Rosendale, please come register to vote. We have voter registration forms at the library.

 

National Hispanic Heritage month begins September 15. Look for a book display in the library, or ask a librarian for recommendations.
