Bye Bye, Overdrive! Hello, cloudLibrary!

As of April, the BWGPL is saying goodbye to Overdrive and the Libby app. But don't worry! We have cloudLibrary, featuring a gigantic new collection of eBooks and eAudiobooks, especially for our cardholders.
 
With cloudLibrary, you can read whenever, and however, you like on any desktop or mobile device with intuitive browsing, downloading, reading, and listening. Plus, there are automatic returns and no overdue fees!
 
cloudLibrary offers an all-in-one app that gives you access to the cloudLibrary collection and serves as an eReader for your books.

We have just opened up our first station inside our Creative Lab:
The Digitization Station!
Here you can convert analog media such as audio cassettes and VHS tapes into digital files. All you need is your Library Card!
 
Our Emerging Technologies Specialist Wendy is on hand to help get you started!
 
The Creative Lab will be open during the following hours:
 
Tuesday: 2 - 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 5 - 7:45 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Friday: 1 - 4 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
 
Book your appointment today! If you want to use the digitization equipment but aren't sure where to begin, book a Help Appointment and we can help walk you through the process.

Join us for our drop-in meeting where we will discuss Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling and do some fun crafts!

April is poetry month! You may be a poet and not even know it! Join Miss Michelle for a fun-filled poetry hour to hear some poetry and write your own!

YouthCALL Drop-in

YouthCALL is a program for young people ages 14-28 looking for mental health support, help with housing needs, social connection, employment support, or even just homework help.
No drama! No judgment! No appointment necessary! Just drop-in!

Knit Happens - In-person at the Library!

Our popular knitting program returns for in-person meetings in the Boardroom. Gather with other knitters in a relaxed environment to chat, share projects, and pick up new tips.  All ages are welcome.  No registration required!
 
 
Music and Poetry Circle
The BWG Music and Poetry circle logo with guitar and book Sunday, March 19 from 2 - 4 p.m.
Calling all performers!
Come by the Zima Room and sing a song or recite a poem. We'd love to hear it! You can also just sit, relax, and enjoy as neighbours go around the circle and each share something they're working on. All ages and experience levels are welcome.
 
Next Chapter Café

Enjoy conversation as well as board and brain games for older adults. This is a drop-in program that takes place on the fourth Wednesday of the month in the Boardroom.
 
 
 
 
Caregivers Information Night: Understanding Stress & Burnout

Sunday, March 26, 1 - 3:30 p.m.
Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of dance, live music, arts & crafts, and snacks in honour of Nowruz: the beginning of the New Year celebrated from the Middle East to Central Asia and beyond! We are especially excited to partner with the Barrie Persian Association and feature Raha Dance Studios as well as Sarv Music Academy. All are welcome to attend!

Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library is a volunteer group whose mission is to support and enhance Bradford Library services and resources. Consider joining the Friends and show that the library is important to you, your family, and our community. Join the Friends of the Library on the first Tuesday of the month.
