Anne Frank:
Stories from the Annex Saturday, March 7 7:00 - 8:00 pm |
Anne Frank: Stories from the Annex is a moving, intimate three-actor performance inspired by the true story of Anne Frank and the people who hid alongside her during World War II. This original production draws from historical events and lived experience to explore what it meant to live in hiding — the fear, the humor, the ordinary moments, and the deep humanity of those confined to the Secret Annex. Designed for audiences ages 12 and up, the performance runs approximately 30 minutes and is followed by a guided talkback with the cast.
Registration is requested for planning purposes. Walk-ins will be welcome. Location: The Learning and Book Sale Center, 45 W. Allen Street.

The Revolt of "Mother", Performed by Michèle LaRue
Tuesday, March 312:00 - 3:30 pm |
We are celebrating Women’s History Month with a live performance of Mary E. Wilkins Freeman’s The Revolt of “Mother” from our friend, Michèle LaRue.
Michèle LaRue engagingly recites and performs the story of the Penn family. Long ago, Adoniram Penn promised his wife that he would build a proper house on their New England farm. He even showed her the spot. That was early in their marriage—two children ago. Now, as their eldest prepares for her wedding, the family still crams into the old, shabby cottage…and Father is building a barn where the new house should be. It’s the last straw for Mother, and Father’s in for a surprise.
