Simply Simpson, October 2021
National Friends of Libraries Week
Celebrating Friends
October 17 to 23, 2021

You know the songs, "You've Got to Have Friends" and "With a Little Help From My Friends." This is especially true for Simpson Public Library. Actually, we get by with a lot of help from the Friends of the Joseph T. Simpson Public Library. While we are extremely grateful for our Friends every day, we pay special homage to them during the week of October 17 to 23 because it is the American Library Association's National Friends of the Library Week!

Cents for Simpson

Simpson Library is asking for your spare change! At the library, you can add your donation to the box at the front desk. You may also enjoy watching your coins spin down the Whirl-a-Wish or zigzag through the animal banks in the children's library. Or drop your change in one of the collection tins found at many Mechanicsburg businesses. Donations may also be made by check, by credit card, or online. Make this year the best yet!
Display Case

The display in the lobby cabinet this month is from the Foot Traffic Group of the Downtown Mechanicsburg Partnership. There are so many wonderful businesses in downtown Mechanicsburg, and some are brand new. Take a look at the display this month, which may introduce you to some businesses, stores, or restaurants new and old.
