May 2019 Events
Homeschool @ High Prairie:
What is Classical Music?
Thu., May 2 at 1:30 p.m.
High Prairie Library Meeting Room

Learn about classical music from local, independent public radio station KCME! Classical music's great composers come to life in engaging and entertaining stories that place the music center stage. Examine elements of the genre, and the pleasure and mystery it can bring to modern life. This program is designed for elementary-aged students. Registration is required.

Get together with other homeschool families to participate in science, history, and art-related activities. Discover library resources to enrich self-directed learning for all ages.

Homeschool @ Rockrimmon:
Wonders of Wildlife
Thu., May 9 at 1:30 p.m.
Rockrimmon Library Meeting Room

City of Colorado Springs Park Ranger, Stephanie Fields, will take us on a guided walk in Ute Valley Park and discuss the Wonders of Wildlife in Colorado. Open to all ages, keeping in mind that we will be hiking on trails that may not be stroller-friendly.

DO NOT COME TO THE LIBRARY. Meet at the parking lot off Ute Valley Trail Road. The turn for that parking lot, if going west on Rockrimmon Blvd., is right after the Springs Marriott Hotel.

In case of inclement weather, we WILL meet at the Rockrimmon Lirbary for a modified wildlife program without the hike.

Plan for about one hour of walking with stops along the way. Wear good shoes and don't forget the water and sunscreen.

Registration is required and closes on May 9 at 1:30 p.m. Call (719) 593-8000 for more information.
