Free tax forms and tax preparation assistance available
AARP is providing free tax assistance at the Evergreen Branch on Fridays and Saturdays beginning Feb. 2 through April 13. To schedule an appointment, pick up a packet of information from either library location. Appointments are required. AARP assistance is also available at several other Snohomish County libraries; visit the Tax-Aide Locator for more information.

The library carries 1040 forms and can print current-year tax forms from the irs.gov website at the reference desk.
You can file a free federal tax return online with FreeTaxUSA, regardless of income.
The IRS maintains a list of free fax-filing software for people with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $79,000 or less. Browse the complete list here.

Storytime is back beginning Tuesday!
Winter storytime session begins Tuesday, January 16. Bring your kiddos to baby, toddler, or preschool storytimes Tuesday through Friday at both our branches. Plus, bilingual Mandarin storytime is back at the branch on Saturday mornings! All storytime sessions are at 10:30 a.m. For more info, visit epls.org/EarlyYears.
