Let's face it, this winter, we are all "Canadian Tired".  I am writing this on yet another dark, dreary cold winter's night but I am warming up thinking about the exciting upcoming events we have planned at Springfield and Belmont Libraries this Spring.

Love to garden? Check out our Seed Library coming March 28th.  Are you an older adult looking for daytime programming? We have partnered with VON to offer monthly Blood Pressure Clinics, Social teas and a Diabetes Talk at Belmont Library.  How about arts and craft classes? We got you covered!  Our Adult Book Club continues to run through the Spring.  In late April, we will once again offer our Annual Lunch and Learn series for older adults.  This is by registration only and space is limited, so save your spot to avoid disappointment.

We are so excited to welcome not one but two incredible authors this Spring to Elgin County.  Please join us on March 17th at Belmont Library for a local history Author visit with Jennifer Grainger.  In April, we are thrilled to be hosting best-selling Canadian Author, Jennifer Robson at Springfield Library.  Best known for her titles "The Gown" and "Coronation Year", be sure to save the date for this incredible Author talk.  Watch social media posts and ask at the branch for more information about registering for this event!

Are you a young family looking for social interaction for your children under 6 years of age?  Drop by our weekly EarlyOn program.  The very popular children's program, Zumbini is returning to Springfield Library in April, so register soon to save your space!

Are  you looking for activities for your school-aged children during March Break?  We will be offering programs to children ages 5+ on Tuesday in Belmont and Thursday in Springfield during March Break. We will also have drop-in games and activities throughout the week.  More details about our upcoming events and activities can be found in this newsletter.

We look forward to seeing you soon at Springfield Library!
