Springfield Library had an incredible April!  We welcomed three very special guests who shared their time and talent with our community.  International Best-selling Author Jennifer Robson visited us and over 50 people heard her speak about her books and describe her writing process.  Her most popular book, The Gown is in development to be a movie and I know her fans are all anxious to see it hit the big screen!  Missed her visit?  You can still borrow any of her seven titles from the library.  Stephen Owen and Katie Muirhead were guest speakers at our recent Lunch and Learn.  The Springfield Swans generously provided our guests with a fabulous lunch while they listened to our speakers discuss community support agencies' Parkinson's Society and Caregiver Organization of Ontario.  If you are interested in information about either of these organizations, we still have brochures left in the library.

Our Seed Library has been incredibly popular this year and we have limited selection, however, there's still time to take up to 6 packages - hurry, as it only runs as long as we have supplies!   This month's edition highlights program we have upcoming at Springfield Library as well as our sister branch, Belmont Library.  VON continues to run monthly Blood pressure and Social Teas at Belmont and you are welcome to join anytime.  We are starting to shift gears and prepare for TD's Summer Reading Club.  Registration begins on Family Fun Day where we hope to see you for our annual Book Sale.

As always, our team thanks you for your continued support and visits to Springfield Library.  We look forward to another exciting summer of fun-filled activities and hope the sunshine continues to grace us as we head into May.

Happy Reading,
Leah, Colleen, Maria, Rebecca, Vicki and Holly
