Adventure Begins at the Library!

Adults are invited to join the adventure this summer!  
 
Join us on Beanstack and/or pick up a playing card at your favorite library to compete in our annual Summer Reading Challenge.  Just by reading, attending programs, or participating in certain adventures you can earn up to 5 entries into a raffle for an Amazon Fire! (No affiliation, we just like to read ebooks.)

Adventures in Cooking
 
This program centers around the possibilities in your kitchen.  Each class focuses on recipes that extend the life of fresh food, reduce food waste, or use cheap ingredients (creative beans and rice anyone?).  Programs are limited to adults only because knives and hot things may be involved. And due to limited supplies registration is required.  Please contact the individual library to register.

"The Walk" Club
 
Walk with us for this special, summer-only book club.  We'll read the 5-book series, "The Walk" by Richard Paul Evans, where the main character sets off on a self-reflection quest and even walks through the Silver Valley and refers to some of our local landmarks! Learn the terms and visual cues to navigate Windows while we cover web safety and more.
 
Don't be intimidated by cyberspace, learn how to take control of your digital world. We will start with a discussion of basic concepts, and then move to hands-on practice at our library computers.

June Closures
Text reads: Happy Juneteenth.  All CLN libraries will be closed to celebrate Juneteenth.  It is on a black background with red, green, and yellow fireworks.
After flooding forced Athol and Post Falls libraries to close in mid-January they have resumed limited service as of mid-April.  
 
The library's bookmobile is parked in the Athol Library's parking lot and the lobby and meeting room are being utilized at the Post Falls Library to provide services such as one-on-one staff assistance, internet and wi-fi access, book browsing, hold pick up, and more.
 
Post Falls' limited services are Monday - Saturday, 11am-6pm and Sundays, 12-5pm.
Athol's bookmobile service hours will be Tuesday-Saturday, 1-6pm.
