Goodbye spring, hello summer. Spring programs end Friday, May 10, to give staff time to make final preparations for summer, including class visits and school tours. We will offer special events for kids and teens, and encourage you to join us. Mark you calendars! Summer Reading registration opens Monday, May 13. Everyone in the family is invited to read and participate in our ADVENTURE BEGINS AT YOUR LIBRARY summer programming. Summer reading is sponsored by the Friends of the Community Library Network and the Friends of the Post Falls Library. Our literacy focus this month is Health Literacy. Check out one of our Brain Health & Mindfulness with VR workshops happening at libraries across the District. All Community Library Network libraries will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.

Brain Health & MindfulnessBrain Health & Mindfulness will consist of a 30-minute presentation on mindful living and brain health, followed by a hands-on activity with essential oils and 15-minute Virtual Reality sessions. Attendees will also receive information on apps and resources for mindfulness. This event is oriented towards teens and young adults, as well as seniors, but all ages 11 & up are welcome! Homeschool Mini-Conference

Join us for the Homeschool Mini Conference! Morning Session: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Submit your curriculum swap items, then settle in for the workshops. We'll draw for prizes between each mini-workshop! Break for Lunch: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm While you go get lunch...we’ll organize the curriculum swap materials. Afternoon Session: Curriculum Swap 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Items will be organize by age/subject/type. Any materials not taken at the swap will be organized into the Homeschool Exchange Shelf.
