Message from the Director I was at the grocery store recently when a Lopezian came up to me and said, “Thank you for spreading joy.” They were talking specifically about the Great Egg Hunt and the robust turnout (over 100 people!) of young people and their families. The comment put a smile on my face and warmed my heart. I believe the Library has a responsibility to bring the community together—something the Lopez Library has done since its earliest days. I believe that the Library is a place to gather, celebrate each other, laugh together, debate each other, and sometimes even cry together. I’m proud of the Library team of staff who are always working hard and thinking creatively to find ways for the community to experience moments of joy, reflection, and wonder through our programs and services. This month we have a set of great offerings, which I hope you will find time to engage and perhaps continue spreading joy to all corners of the Island.
