A Trip to the Library Can Change a Person – Thank You! You may have noticed the library’s new poster campaign rotating around the village. “A Trip to the Library Can Change a Person,” has sparked conversations, inspired visits, and reminded people just how transformative a trip through the library doors can be. These posters didn’t just appear—they were the product of creativity, generosity, and A LOT of behind-the-scenes work. To which, we want to give thanks! First, our deepest thanks to Dave (creative director/writer), https://dave-ohare.squarespace.com/, and Yvonne (photographer/post-production), https://yioatelier.com/, for dreaming up and capturing the vision so beautifully. Much love also goes out to Chris & Krista at Giant, https://giantcreates.com/, who gave countless hours producing the posters—layering images, finessing Photoshop magic, and making sure everything came together. It turned into more work than anyone expected, and they came through brilliantly. Props matter, and we’re grateful for every loan: Dan at Paper Scissors on the Rock, https://paperscissorsontherock.weebly.com/, for the glasses, Judy for the hat, Adam for the saxophone, Beth for the birding vest, Jane for the pot holder, and Megan for the Bark Ranger bandana. And hats off to the amazing models!: Musical instruments – Roman, Laura, Skylar, Digs, and Asher Weaving Wednesday – Dick Mindful Birding – Ari Discover Pass – Mija This effort showed what’s possible when creativity, community spirit, and a love for the library come together. Thanks to all who turned the vision into reality. |

"Children need two things: roots and wings" With summer more than half over and as days full of time with school age kiddos begin to wrap up, adding just a little bit of daily exploration can make all the difference in your summer days. We have three great books by local author Asia Citro that are highly recommended. Asia is a parent of two, former classroom science teacher, and outdoor environmental camp director with a Masters in Science Education. Her website is: FunAtHomeWithKids.com

Song calendaring is an approach that encourages you to create regularly, and maybe avoid some intimidating pitfalls of judgement. This practice uses the environment as an instrument in creation and attempts to capture a creative interpretation of the moment.
