Kathryn Homa, Mercer County Horticulturist, will discuss the history and biology of the Spotted Lanternfly, and provide various methods of controlling them, including homemade traps!

An Afternoon at the Movies - "The Fabelmans"
Thursday, April 13, 1:30 pm
This Oscar-nominated film is inspired by true events. The narrative follows Sammy Fabelman on a journey of self-discovery.  After finding out an unsettling family secret, Sammy falls in love with cinema and its power to tell stories. Starring Michelle Williams and Paul Dano. Rated PG-13; 2 hours and 31 minutes.

“Lettuce” Talk About Hydroponics
Monday, April 17, 7:00 pm
In honor of Earth Day, join us for a soilless evening full of education and lettuce! Learn all about the Robbinsville Hydroponic Farm located right across from us in the parking lot. Enjoy some delicious leafy greens fresh from the farm while we discuss the growing process and the different ways it’s benefiting our community! Presented by Hope Neis, Hydroponic Farm Coordinator.

Cartooning Lessons, How Comics Work and What They Have Taught Me
Saturday, April 15, 10:30 am
Children in grades 2 through 8 are invited to join Mike Dawson, the Ignatz award-winning author of the middle-grade graphic novel series The Fifth Quarter, and learn how comics work and the different ways writers find new ideas. Come and learn the nuts & bolts of making comics, enjoy live-drawing and cartooning demonstrations, and understand how starting and maintaining a consistent creative practice can take artists and authors to new and unexpected places.

National Poetry Month
All are welcome to join us for a virtual celebration of National Poetry Month. Chip McAuley, poet and librarian, will host an evening of poetry with local poets reading their own work or a favorite published poem.  Please register to receive the link to attend the virtual event, taking place Tuesday, April 25, 7:00 pm.
