Branch News This year’s “Color Our World” Summer Reading Program is going strong, with good reading and participation! The Summer Reading Program is a 7-week-long, free, reading incentive program for all ages, and it’s a great way to keep kids reading over the summer! Pick up a reading log at the library, read at home, and check in with your log weekly to earn prizes. (Note: You may sign up for Summer Reading at any point in the program until it ends on 8/9. It’s still okay to sign up even if you can’t make it to the library every week. Stop by the library to learn more.) In an effort to “Color Our World,” we have many fun programs in July that take the theme literally and figuratively. Literally, we will use colorful art supplies for programs such as coloring/painting stuffed animals, designing peg person Prince/Princesses that hang in mini castle turrets, and squeegee painting for teens. We will also figuratively color our world with programs that fire our imaginations, such as a Percy Jackson Escape Room based on the popular myth-based fantasy series, a Harry Potter Trivia night, story times, and an acting workshop for teens. We also have our Friday morning concerts (outdoors, weather-permitting), that color our world with music. Stop by for some colorful fun!
