This Month at The Library
March 2025
Message from the Director

Greetings!

Thank you for the lovely messages you wrote in February during Library Lover’s Month. The staff and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them. We appreciate you taking time to write these notes.

I have good news and not-so-good news: The good news is that Anne Sullivan will now be assisting in the Adult Services Department. She’s not a new face, but new to this position. Please stop by and congratulate her on her new role.

The not-so-good news is that the Library is reinstating a fee for our faxing service. To help with Town revenue, the Library will now charge $1.00 per page for faxing, with a cover sheet provided at no charge. Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,
Debbie Clifton, MSLS
Library Director

Reading Challenge 2025

This year, Richards Memorial Library is joining the Mass Center for the Book Reading Challenge. The Reading Challenge is geared towards adults, although people of all ages can participate. Participants read a book each month in a specific category and fill out a monthly entry form using the Mass Center for the Book's Submission Manager.

Last year there were 1,500+ participants who read over 7,000 books. March's Challenge is to read a book about someone with a marginalized identity. We have a selection of books on display or choose another one you'd like to read.  Visit "Programs" on massbook.org to learn more.
