This Month at the Library
May 2026
Message from the Director

Thank you for supporting the Richards Memorial Library during National Giving Day! The Friends of the RML received generous donations, and we greatly appreciate your support. Money donated to the Friends of RML supports the library in a variety of ways, mostly providing programs and programming supplies. We couldn’t run programs without the support, so thank you for your generosity!

We are continuing our efforts to improve the library’s interior spaces for better functionality and patron enjoyment. The latest upgrades include new tables in the Reading Room for patron use, and new public service desks in the Children’s department and in Adult Services.

In support of outreach to North Attleborough seniors, a reading library has been set up at the Senior Center in the Lenore Paquin Health and Human Services Center, located at 451 Elm Street. Senior citizens attending classes at the Senior Center are welcome to check out a book by filling out the slip inside the back cover and placing the slip into the little mailbox on top of the book return. RML staff will have a weekly presence at this library on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please give us a call with any questions.

Best regards,
Debbie Clifton, MSLIS
Library Director

Updates to the new fiction area!
We made some changes to the new fiction area! First, the new mysteries are located on the shelves right outside the children's room, and they "melt" into the mystery section. Second, to give more visibility to the three book groups, the last set of shelves now house these titles. Both changes were made to better accommodate your browsing. The Reference and Circulation desks are happy to answer any questions about these changes.
