DID YOU KNOW?
Seed Libraries

Have you heard of a seed library? It's a place where you can "check out" seeds for free. County of San Luis Obispo Public Libraries have nine seed library locations: Arroyo Grande, Atascadero, Los Osos, Morro Bay, Nipomo, San Luis Obispo, Santa Margarita, Shandon and Shell Beach.

We offer a variety of fruits, vegetables, flowers and California native seeds that are packed into small envelopes to be "checked out". There is a limit of 10 envelopes per person, per season. Please be sure to record your seeds on our check out sheet.

If you have used one of our seed libraries, we would love to keep up on the progress of the plants you have grown. Tag us on social media at #slocountylibraries. Or write to us at info@slolibrary.org to share your seed library story!
