Find pennies from before 1982 (when they had a higher copper content), then place them on a paper towel soaked with vinegar and sprinkle with salt. That’s it! Watch over the next few hours and days to see how your pennies change!

This week's pick comes from Miss Melissa, who recommends Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff for fans of YA and science fiction. Melissa says: "The tagline for this book is absolutely perfect for this group of characters and general series of catastrophes that make up this action-packed adventure: They're not the heroes we deserve. They're just the ones we could find. This book quickly finds a rhythm that becomes witty dialog and chase scenes interspersed with plenty of mystery and drama to hold your attention and make you laugh out loud. Alternating narration between characters, a creative choice both of these authors have made in their individual and team works, allows readers to develop a deeper connection to each squad member while also being integral to the plot as internal thoughts become more and more important to their unexpected mission." The second book in the series, Aurora Burning, was just released this month.
