Service Canada Information Sessions for Seniors

Chatham-Kent Public Library (CKPL) is partnering with Service Canada to provide an overview of Service Canada programs and services for seniors.
During this information session a Service Canada representative will provide information about Old Age Security, Guaranteed Income Supplement, and Canada Pension Plan (among other services dedicated to Canadian seniors). Learn about eligibility criteria, how to apply, and how to calculate your payment. Participants will also be able to ask questions.
Join us as we welcome Gardening Girl, Julia Dimakos for a live virtual presentation on Successful Vegetable Gardening. The event will also be shown at Chatham Branch for those unable to attend virtually. Registration and an email address are required. CKPL’s 2023 CK Reads title is “The Daughter of Doctor Moreau” by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. “The Daughter of Doctor Moreau” is a reimagining of “The Island of Doctor Moreau” set against the backdrop of nineteenth-century Mexico. The story is both a dazzling historical novel and a daring science fiction journey and was a ‘New York Times’ Editor’s Choice recommended read.

PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Video Games Now Available
Chatham-Kent Public Library is expanding its video game collection to now include games for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox. All games are free to borrow with your Chatham-Kent Public Library card and are available from all 11 CKPL branch locations.
Video games can be borrowed for 14 days and can be renewed up to 2 times (provided no holds have been placed on the item). You may borrow up to 3 games at a time.
