You'll find videos for fiber crafts such as knitting and crocheting (complete with downloadable instructions), painting, paper crafts, jewelry, kids projects (like galaxy slime and astro origami) and much more. If you need help applying for SNAP, call Suffolk's Nutrition Outreach and Education Program (NOEP) Coordinator, which is the Health and Welfare Council of Long Island: (516) 505-4425. They will tell you if you are eligible for SNAP, answer any questions you may have, and help you complete and submit your application. It is free and confidential.

The Federal CARES Act provides enhanced Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits and Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) for New Yorkers. These updates include self-employed, freelancers, independent contractors, workers with limited work history, and others who are unable to work as a direct result of the coronavirus public health emergency. Start by reading the Information Sheet or Flow Chart below (they contain the same information, just in a different format). Then if you still have questions, move on to the next three documents. |

Caregiving for the Elderly Caregiver Support Group Alzheimer/Dementia Caregiver Support Group by phone, provided by Parker Jewish Institute. This telephone-version of the traditional support group is a conference call facilitated by a social worker.

Dav Pilkey at Home features new videos by Pilkey every Friday at 8 AM. Activities include how-to-draw demos, engaging read-a-louds, and inspiring resources from the Library of Congress’ collections. Additional videos and content will be shared throughout the week. |
