South Country Library
Weekly Update
August 10, 2020
Building community by sharing the wonders of learning, creating and connecting with one another.
Hello South Country Community,

That was some storm! In fact, it blew this email forward by two days! So from now on, please expect to see the Weekly Update in your inbox on Mondays around 12 Noon.

We have new programs for you to peruse, including money management, Tai Chi, and more guitar lessons. For teens, a new week brings a new game, craft, and movie. Oh, and we’re wrapping up our Summer Reading clubs — make sure to get your readings and raffles in!

In Staying Stable, we have Part 3 of the Healthy Hour Series with Stony Brook Medicine, and Health Insurance Assistance for seniors. And in Learning & Leisure, the Children’s Department has provided another collection of books in Reflections of Us. Plus, check out this Saturday’s outdoor movie night from the Bellport-Brookhaven Historical Society.

Stay cool,
South Country Library

P.S. Three reminders we'd like to sneak in, here --
  • When visiting the library, we require that you wear a cloth mask/face covering. A plastic face shield is not enough if there is no cloth mask underneath. We thank you for your cooperation.
  • Have you completed the 2020 Census? An accurate census is critically important to the federal funding of our communities, including schools and hospitals.
  • If you're a new voter, or if you've changed addresses since the last time you voted, you'll want to pick up a voter registration form, available at the Reference Desk.
