Library Budget Vote & Trustee Election Polls are open TODAY until 9:00 PM, at the library, downstairs in Room A. South Country district residents who are registered to vote will vote on the library's 2021-2022 budget as well as electing three trustees to three-year terms. Recipients of the three highest vote counts will fill terms until 2024. Click here to learn more. |

Family Earth Day Celebration Saturday, April 24, from 12:00 - 3:00 PM* Join us in the library parking lot for a fun spring afternoon celebrating Earth Day! To register, please call 631-286-0818 or stop by the library. Tables are limited, so advanced registration is required.

Enjoy some music while you paint birdhouses and build bird feeders at socially-distanced tables set up outside for each family. Plus children's storytime in the garden, a bee garden starter kit giveaway, and more! * Masks are required when inside the building and when social distance cannot be maintained. In the event of rain or worsening of the pandemic, this event will be cancelled.

COVID-19 Vaccination Appointment Assistance for Senior (60+) South Country Library Cardholders Call us if you or someone you know is age 60+ and has difficulty utilizing technology or has no Internet, and wants to schedule a vaccination appointment. We'll try to help you book an appointment at designated vaccination sites by continually checking the websites after taking your information. If we are successful, we will contact you with the date, time, and location of your appointment. We will occasionally need to contact you for more information during the process. Call Reference at 631-286-0818 to request assistance. We cannot guarantee we'll be able to get you an appointment. Vaccinations are not taking place at the library. South Country Library Cardholders only.

Our Seed Library has Started! Discover the joys of gardening and eating your own produce. South Country Library patrons may choose up to three packets per visit, free of charge, from a variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. Learn more here.

The Library & This Year's Tax Season The library has Federal and NYS tax forms by the Reference Desk. Note: The Federal and New York State tax submission deadline has been extended to May 17, 2021.

Our Give or Take Food Pantry is located in the lobby, and available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.
|
|
|
We have a bin in the lobby where you can donate non-perishable food to help keep the pantry stocked. Thank you for your generosity!

South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required.
|

Social Work Services Amy Baires is our social work intern from Stony Brook University. She can help with information, referrals, and paperwork for housing, treatment, social services, unemployment, food pantries, and more. Amy speaks English y habla español.
