Happy May the Fourth, South Country Community!
 
Here's a virtual program for all drivers, teen and adult: Meet AAA's Car Doctor and bring questions (you know, the ones you didn't want to ask your mechanic). Of course there are many more programs below, and if you want to see what we have for the rest of May and June, you can read our May-June Newsletter!

New Services for Job-Seekers and Veterans
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
Supports veterans and their families with navigating the VA bureaucracy, providing academic tutoring, and assisting with employment transition.
Both services provide live virtual assistance every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.

The Library & This Year's Tax Season
The library has Federal and NYS tax forms by the Reference Desk.
There will be no in-person AARP Tax-Aide services in the library this tax season. Click here to read our full notice with more information.
 
Note: The Federal and New York State tax submission deadline has been extended to May 17, 2021.
 
Our Give or Take Food Pantry
is located in the lobby, and available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.
We have a bin in the lobby where you can donate non-perishable food to help keep the pantry stocked. Thank you for your generosity!
 
Renew or Apply for a New Library Card on Our Website
South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required.

Amy Baires is our social work intern from Stony Brook University. She can help with information, referrals, and paperwork for housing, treatment, social services, unemployment, food pantries, and more.
