Virtual Cartooning Class Thursday, June 10, 7:00 - 8:00 PM For adults, teens, and children grade 3 and up.

Learn cartooning -- a great way to relax and create! Award-winning cartoonist and humorous illustrator Rick Stromoski will teach how to draw characters, expressions, and animals in this fun and entertaining program. Materials: Have a stack of paper and something to draw with.

Each game is available to the first twenty participants, and closes at 9:00 PM on the last day.

Have you checked out our Seed Library? Our patrons may choose up to three packets per visit from a variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. Learn more here.

Our Give or Take Food Pantry is located in the lobby, and available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.

We have a bin in the lobby where you can donate non-perishable food to help keep the pantry stocked. Thank you for your generosity!

You can get a COVID-19 Vaccine at Home If you (or a loved one) are confined to your home and wish to receive a J&J COVID-19 vaccine, call 311. The Suffolk County Department of Health Services will send a nurse to your home to answer your questions and administer your vaccine.

COVID-19 Vaccination Appointment Assistance for Senior (age 60+) South Country Library Cardholders Call Reference at 631-286-0818 to request assistance. We cannot guarantee we'll be able to get you an appointment. Vaccinations do not take place at the library. South Country Library Cardholders only.

Social Work Services Amy Baires is our social work intern from Stony Brook University. She can help with information, referrals, and paperwork for housing, treatment, social services, unemployment, food pantries, and more. Amy speaks English y habla español.

Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
|
|
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
|
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
|
|
Both above services provide live virtual assistance every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
