Adult Summer Reading Club Registration is Open! As with previous years, each book you read will earn you a chance to win some fantastic raffle prizes, many of which are gift certificates to local businesses. You will be able to submit your reading logs both in person and online.

Drought Tolerant Gardens (via Zoom) Thursday, July 15, 7:00 - 8:00 PM Do you have a sunny, dry landscape with a limited water supply? Learn from stories of success and failure, like the examples of the Medford Train Station and adjacent 9-11 Memorial Garden. By the end of the session, you will know which plants can cope in harsh environments, and how you can help them thrive.

Skin Cancer Prevention (via Zoom) Thursday, July 22, 7:00 - 8:00 PM Summer is great, but time in the sun increases the risk of skin cancer -- the most common cancer. Join us for this talk presented by Dr. Anna Bahson, dematologist expert from Story Brook University Hospital. Dr. Bahson will teach the importance of sun safety, and the signs, risks, and prevention strategies of skin cancer. Click here to register.

Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
|
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
|
|
Both above services provide live virtual assistance every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.

COVID-19 Vaccination Appointment Assistance for Seniors age 60+. Call Reference for assistance 631-286-0818 ext. 1. We cannot guarantee we'll be able to get you an appointment. Vaccinations do not take place at the library. South Country Library cardholders only.

Are you homebound? You can get a COVID-19 Vaccine at home. If you wish to receive the J&J vaccine, call 311. The Suffolk Dept. of Health Services will send a nurse to your home to answer questions and administer the vaccine. Click for more info.
