Hello South Country Community,
 
Tomorrow's a big day for registration. When we open at 9:30, you'll be able to register for Gingerbread House kits for both families and teens, the Family Holiday Movie & Pajama Party, all of the December in-person programs for children, and the teen ornament craft. 
 
Then on Friday, we host the Karpenteers for a holiday concert (registration required). Earlier that day and on Saturday, drop by to have your holiday photos taken with our green screen.
Teens - do you need to earn some community service hours? Volunteer to help at this event!

Green Screen Holiday Photos
 
Friday, December 3, 2:00 - 8:30 PM

(no registration -- just drop in)
Get your holiday photos taken at the library! Choose from pre-selected backgrounds. Each family will receive digital images via email.
 
No pets, please. Do not wear green as it will interfere with the screen technology. Photos will be taken by library staff, not professional photographers.
The Karpenteers: Christmas Collection Concert

The Karpenteers, well known for bringing you the very best music of the Carpenters since 2016, are back for a special holiday show.
Featuring some of the most popular holiday songs ever performed and recorded by the Carpenters from their much-loved Christmas Collection, the Karpenteers will fill your hearts with familiar holiday memories as well as the most popular Carpenters melodies of the '70s.

Our Give or Take Food Pantry
is located in the lobby, and available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.
We have a bin in the lobby where you can donate non-perishable food to help keep the pantry stocked. Thank you for your generosity!
Social Work Services
Raeanne Harris is our social work intern from Stony Brook University. She can help with information, referrals, and paperwork for housing, treatment, social services, unemployment, food pantries, and more.

South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required. Or visit our Patron Services desk at the front of the library for the same service.
Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
Both above services provide live virtual assistance
every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
