Game Day Wednesday
 
All of our game clubs meet in person every Wednesday. 
Registration is open for the January-February Game Days.
Please register in person at the Reference Desk,
by phone at 631-286-0818 x1, or online (links below).
 
Please also sign in each week you attend.
  • Mah-Jongg: 10 AM - 12 PM
  • Chess: 11 AM - 1 PM
  • Bridge: 12 - 2:30 PM
  • Canasta: 1 - 3:30 PM 
One or two game sets will be provided for each game,
or you may bring your own.
 
 
Chair Yoga

Join Kristen Orsini for a rejuvenating hour of mind/body tension and stress release. Register and pay online or at the Reference Desk. 7 classes, $21 total.
 
Tai Chi
Thursdays, January 6 through February 17, 1:00 - 2:00 PM
Jim Cummings teaches the 24 movements of Beijing Tai Chi. Learn the fundamental movements and theory; improve balance and overall health. Wear comfortable, loose clothing and soft-soled shoes. Register and pay online or at the Reference Desk. 7 classes, $17.50 total.
Qigong
Fridays, January 7 through February 28, 10:00 - 11:00 AM
This ancient, evidence-based Chinese healing art consists of gentle exercises which provide benefits including lowered blood pressure and increased bone density and balance. Instructor Tom Linden is certified by the Center for Taiji Studies. Register and pay online or at the Reference Desk. 8 classes, $32 total.

$30 check or money order payable to
Empire Safety Council.
Course completion entitles you to a 10% discount on vehicle liability, personal injury protection, and collision insurance for three years; and a reduction of up to 4 points on your driving record every 18 months.

Join this class to get more comfortable with your computer, smartphone, and/or tablet. Our librarian, Mark, will cover beginner topics, as requested by participants, with discussion and demonstrations.

Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
Both above services provide live virtual assistance
every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
