Library News
from South Country Library
October 18, 2022

Building community by sharing the wonders of learning, creating, and connecting with one another.

Hello South Country Community,

Families with Children, there are just a couple seats left in this month's in-person programs. November's programs open for registration on Tuesday, November 1 -- take a peek here.

Adults, there's still room in the What's New to Medicare seminar -- both in person and virtual. If you like to knit or crochet, join fellow enthusiasts at our Knit and Crochet Circle. And if you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, our SMART Recovery® meetings start on Tuesday, November 1.

Teens, come develop elegant penmanship in our calligraphy classes. Plus, earn community service hours as you learn about our local government and/or volunteer for our Halloween Green Screen event. Finally, save the date -- the fifth of November is Stranger Things Day!

P.S. Don't forget -- you can vote for our scarecrow, Pete the Cat, during this year's village scarecrow contest. Vote at the Patron Services desk, village stores, or via email: info@bellportvillageny.gov

Supplies are extremely low in our Give or Take Food Pantry

We are down to a handful of items.

We will very gratefully accept donations in the bin in our lobby. Please help us help your neighbors in need with non-perishable food to help re-stock the pantry. Thank you for your generosity!

We are struggling to replenish our shelves. When we are able to do so, our Give and Take Food Pantry will be located in the lobby, available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.
