Library News
from South Country Library
December 13, 2022
Building community by sharing the wonders of learning, creating, and connecting with one another.
Hello South Country Community,

Adults -- is it about time you got a new app for your smartphone? Come to our Useful Free Apps program tomorrow to learn about the most helpful zero-cost apps that might deserve a spot on your screen.

Families with children -- there are still seats available for our DIY Holiday Ornaments program for 2nd-5th graders on Saturday. Plus, take a look at our holiday take-home crafts and sneak a peek at our January programs.

Teens -- Our teen librarian is like Santa, but instead of once a year, she's got a box for you every month -- a Book Box! This month's box is filled with winter goodies to keep and a book to borrow.

We will be closed Saturday, December 24 through Monday, December 26. We will reopen on Tuesday, December 27 at 9:30 AM.

We wish you all a Happy Hanukkah, Soulful Solstice, Merry Christmas, and Joyous Kwanzaa (and of course, a Happy Festivus for the rest of us).

Santa Extravaganza
Wednesday, December 14, 5:00 - 6:30 PM
in the Children's Department

Drop in to meet Santa in a low-key environment. Children can make crafts and play with toys until they are ready to approach Santa. All ages, no registration. We'll also have magic reindeer food packets to take home, while supplies last.

De-Stress with a Dog
Wednesday, December 21
4:30 - 5:30 PM, in the Children's Area

The holiday season can be stressful or lonely, so we've invited a therapy dog to the library. No registration, all ages.

Supplies are still low in our
Give or Take Food Pantry

Please help us help your
neighbors in need.

We will very gratefully accept donations in the bin in our lobby of non-perishable food to help re-stock the pantry.
Thank you for your generosity!

Our Give orTake Food Pantry provides food items for those in need, in the lobby anytime the library is open.
