Defensive Driving

Course completion entitles you to a 10% discount on vehicle liability, personal injury protection, and collision insurance for three years; and a reduction of up to 4 points on your driving record every 18 months.The fee is $30, due at registration. Register at the Reference Desk with a check or money order payable to Empire Safety Council.

Understanding the Financial Numbers of Your Business
Saturday, April 29, 10:00 -11:30 AM. Presented virtually on Zoom.
S.C.O.R.E. presents this workshop for business owners and those thinking of starting a business. Topics include accounting with balance sheets, profit & loss statements, cash flow statements, key bookkeeping accounts, setting up business finances, financial budgets & forecasts, and tips for good financial management.

Friends & Family CPR
Saturday, April 29, 1:00 - 4:00 PM
at the Bellport Village Community Center (4 Bell Street)
This 3-hour course is designed for people who want to learn adult, child and infant CPR skills for their friends and families. There is no test or skills evaluation. This is a non-credentialed, basic CPR course for lay people. Students receive a course completion card with their CPR booklet. Fee: $5. Click here to register.
 
 
Wreath Making Kit
Registration begins Monday, May 1.
Pickup begins Thursday, June 1.

Design and construct your own 10” grapevine wreath with artificial white roses and eucalyptus sprays, using floral wire and yellow ribbon. 
South Country Card required; Limit one per household.
 
 
Conversation Skills for English Learners

Practice your English conversation skills and improve vocabulary and grammar.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiver Support Group
2nd & 4th Monday of each month, 1:00 - 2:30 PM
in Study Room A in the Reference Area
 
Join our Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiver Support Group, presented by Family & Children's Association and Parker Jewish Institute’s Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands, for caregivers of loved ones with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Meetings provide these caregivers opportunities to meet with others, participate in educational programs, and have questions answered about their loved one's care.

Passport Services by Appointment
We serve first-time applicants, minor applicants, adult applicants whose most recent passport was issued as a minor, and applicants who have lost their passports. 
Hours are by appointment only.

Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
Each service provides live virtual assistance every day
from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
