Families with Children, there are still a few seats available in our Buzz of the Beekeeper Jr. and Craft Palooza events.
 
Teens, join us for a slice of pizza and a screening of the classic summer movie, Jaws. 
 
Teens and Adults, get your 2-4-person team together for our Jigsaw Puzzle Tournament.
 
Adults, do you already know how to play Canasta, but want to improve your skills? There's a class for that. Looking ahead, get ready to laugh at the Welcome to Lawn Guyland comedy show!

If you are able, please donate items such as shampoo, soap, gloves, socks, period products, dental products, etc.
 
The Community Cabinet and donation bin are located next to our Food Pantry in the lobby.

Safely dispose of unwanted medication. All medications must be placed loosely in zip-lock bags. Pills & capsules only - no liquids.

• Referrals as needed

Visit other Suffolk libraries, get as many stamps as you can, and enter to win prizes!
 
Stop by to pick up a Suffolk Summer Library Tour booklet from the Children's Department or Reference Desk.
 
Bring the booklet with you to get stamped when you visit any of the listed libraries. You can go to whichever you like, in any order.

Sign Up to be a Literacy Volunteer
Are you interested in helping an English speaker learn to read and write? The Library is looking for volunteers with instructional experience. You can open countless doors for 
someone else by offering the gift of literacy. Interested persons should complete this application and contact Jack in the Reference Department at 631-286-0818 ext 1.

Renew or Apply for a New Library Card on Our Website
South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required. Or visit our Patron Services desk at the front of the library for the same service.

 
Passport Services by Appointment
We serve first-time applicants, minor applicants, adult applicants whose most recent passport was issued as a minor, and applicants who have lost their passports. 
Hours are by appointment only.

Our service cannot renew a passport.
There is a separate process for that by mail.

Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
Each service provides live virtual assistance every day
from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
