Adult Summer Book Bingo

Book Bingo is Back!


Sign up and get a bingo sheet at the Reference Desk for a fun summer reading challenge!

Guidelines for Participation in Book Bingo

  • One card per person This maintains fairness and ensures everyone has an equal chance.
  • Age requirement Participants must be 18 years or older, as this program is intended for adults.
  • Fair play The focus is on reading books rather than simply completing the card. Participants may be encouraged to discuss their experiences when submitting a completed card.
  • Books Must be read during the the event dates of June 8 and July 31. A single book cannot be used for multiple squares.
  • Limit Each player is limited to four regular bingos and one blackout (full card) bingo.
  • Prize collection For completed cards, prizes should be collected at the Reference Desk on the lower level.

               Prizes will be given for achieving five squares in any direction—                       whether horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.


Regular Bingo Prizes Choice of Bristol sign coffee mug or journal & pen set.

Blackout Bingo Prize Each person who completes every square will be entered to win an Amazon Kindle 16 GB eReader with 6" screen.

Spreadsheets on Chromebooks

Want to earn a free Chromebook? 


In this five week course, you will learn to use a Chromebook for spreadsheets (such as Excel and Google Sheets). This is a great introduction to spreadsheets for personal finances or for business.  At the end of the course you get to keep the Chromebook!

Although this is an introduction to Chromebooks and Spreadsheets, participants should be comfortable using a computer before taking this course. 


Thanks to funding from the TN Dept. of Economic and Community Development, the Jones Center can offer free Chromebooks to registered participants.

The Bristol Public Library now has an Audio Booth that patrons can use for studio quality recordings. This class covers the mandatory orientation to use the booth, and an introduction to editing audio.
