Has Books To Go
Got books? Little Free Libraries do and five of them are located in the Town of Warwick.  Little Free Libraries are helping to minimize the pain that readers of all ages are feeling now that public libraries are closed due to the Covid-19 coronavirus.  To read more about the Little Free Library maintained by the Florida Public Library (FPL) since 2016, visit the FPL website.

Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD)
The New York State Talking Book and Braille Library (TBBL) is a free lending library available to individuals who have difficulty reading standard print due to a visual impairment, a physical disability, or a reading disability. While TBBL’s mail service is temporarily on hold, TBBL patrons can register for Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD).  BARD is a free web-based service from the National Library Service that provides immediate access to thousands of resources any time of the day. With BARD, there are no waitlists and no books to return.
Library staff are encouraged to register for an Institution BARD account to become familiar with the service and to demonstrate the downloading process to eligible patrons. Public library staff receive a demonstration BARD account which provides access to four titles.

Wonder Woman, Chair of Library Card Sign-Up Month

This September, DC’s Wonder Woman will embark on a new mission with ALA and libraries nationwide to champion the power of a library card as Library Card Sign-up Month honorary chair. Armed with the Lasso of Truth, Wonder Woman makes a perfect ambassador to support the value of learning and the role libraries play in transforming lives and strengthening communities through education. In the coming months, Wonder Woman will appear in free Library Card Sign-up Month graphics, including print and digital PSAs and library card artwork. Find Wonder Woman posters, bookmarks, and stickers in the Summer ALA Graphics catalog.
